　　Title Ae Fond Kiss: One Tender Kiss This is a poem written to Mrs MacLehose who separated from her husband and failed to rejoin him and went to Jamaica. As outsiders in Edinburgh, Burns, a farmer, and Mrs MacLehose, a separated wife, loved each other. As recorded by Mrs MacLehose who outlived Burns, they parted in 1791 and never met again. She wished she would meet Burns in Heaven. The fond feeling and relationship between the two can be seen here.
